SYCAL BERHAD, Company No. 198001008822 (62606-V), was established on 22 September 1980 as Cygal Sdn Bhd. Since then, the company has emerged as one of the significant players in the Malaysian construction industry. The company is prominently involved in civil, infrastructure, and building construction works, for both public & private construction projects, ranging from landed, low-rise and high-rise residential & commercial projects, schools, universities, hospitals, commercial malls, hotels, etc. Sycal Berhad has completed projects worth RM2.4 billion.
On 25 January 1994, the name of at the Company was changed to Cygal Berhad, and on the following year, the Company was listed with the Bursa Malaysia on 29 March 1995. On 29 June 2007, the listing status of Cygal Berhad was transferred to Sycal Ventures Berhad (SVB), after undergoing a corporate restructuring exercise. Cygal Berhad, subsequently, has changed name to Sycal Berhad on 17 July 2007.
